We had an awesome weekend at Mission Church! We started a new series called - Supernatural.

       We are believing God for the Supernatural to take place. I also love that this series runs simultaneously with the 50 day journey to Pentecost..the descent of the Holy Spirit in the book of Acts.  Here are some thoughts from the weekend message:

WE DO NOT FIGHT FOR VICTORY. WE FIGHT FROM VICTORY.

 "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you

is greater than the one who is in the world." 1 John 4:4

 YOU ARE NOT ALONE IN YOUR BATTLES.

"When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. "Oh, my lord, what shall we do?" the servant asked.  "Don't be afraid," the prophet answered. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them."  And Elisha prayed, "O LORD, open his eyes so he may see." Then the LORD opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha." 2 Kings 6:15-17

 

YOUR PRAYERS ARE FAR MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU KNOW.

"Don't be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia. Now I am here to explain what will happen to your people in the future, for this vision concerns a time yet to come."

Daniel 10:12-14 NLT

 

"For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world." 2 Corinthians 10:3-4

 

"Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

Ephesians 6:10-12

 

Your battle is NOT against people, politicians, your neighbor or co-worker that is driving you crazy. It is against the spiritual forces of evil. Do not be afraid!

You are not alone in your battles because God commands His angels concerning you.

"Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne...In a loud voice they sang: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!" Revelation 5:11-12

 
So, who are angels? Angels are warriors.

 "That night the angel of the LORD went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand men in the Assyrian camp." 2 Kings 19:35

 

"And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back." Revelation 12:7

Angels are messengers.
Angels give you direction.

Angels protect you from danger.

"For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone."

Psalms 91:11-12

 

Angels minister to you.

"Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?"

Hebrews 1:14

 

You are God's passion! He commands His angels concerning YOU. This is going to be an awesome teaching series. I am looking forward to the SUPERNATURAL!!
